Meet Santa at The Oak Tree Inn in a special Loch Lomond grotto. To purchase just choose a date and time above. 

At check out please add names of children and ages attending in the Special Instructions box.

The Oak Tree Inn is in Balmaha, a beautiful village on the eastern shores of Loch Lomond. The Inn is very festive, with the whole building wrapped for Christmas. This year a special grotto, located just outside the inn will be available in the run up to Christmas.

The Santa experience and grotto will be open 11am-5pm Saturday and Sunday, 7th -22nd December

All of the meet Santa experiences include an appropriate toy, there is also a 10% voucher provided off all food from the menu of the Oak Tree (same day as Santa experience only).

Santa slots are pre-bookable, with each experience limited to a maximum of 5 children. Parents and grandparents are welcome to visit with the children.

The Oak Tree will be providing festive food & drink, with a small Christmas market.

When booking please list in the special instructions box the names and ages of the children that will be meeting Santa.

What does the visit to Santa visit consist of?
Santa will meet the children and ask them what they would like for Christmas, providing them with an appropriate gift as part of the experience. Each child will also be given a sticker and a certificate from Santa.

How long does a visit with Santa last?
The visit to Santa last about 5 minutes, with the whole experience lasting about 10 minutes.

Who’s welcome?
Everyone’s welcome at Santa’s grotto but it’s ideal for children under 9 years of age.

Why should I book in advance?
All visits to Santa’s Grotto are booked online. Booking online is quick, easy, convenient and safe. It’s a stress-free way to select a convenient date and time, with a guaranteed time slot

If I choose NOT to book a ticket in advance how can I obtain a ticket?
We cannot guarantee that there will be spaces available on the day.

Can I book in advance by telephone?
No. Advanced ticket purchases can only be made online or in person at the Grotto entrance whilst the grotto is operational

Can I pre-book tickets online on the day of my visit?
No - The ticket must be bought at least 2 hours in advance of the grotto opening that day (so 9am on the day you plan to visit is the cut off)

Is there a charge for babies in arms 0-12months?
A standard booking must be made for each child. Every child entering the grotto must have a valid ticket. There will be a special gift for all ages.

Once booked can I change the time or day of the visit?
Once booked a total cancellation cannot be undertaken, but it may be possible to transfer your booking to an alternative time slot this is subject to availability. To avoid any later disappointment, we would ask that before completing the purchase of tickets you are confident in being able to fulfil your booking.

When should I look to arrive at Santa’s grotto?
Please make sure you allow plenty of time to arrive before your scheduled booking slot. We recommended that you arrive at the grotto entrance no later than 5 minutes before your pre-booked time slot. There are crafts and activities available in the main area before the children head off to see Santa.

Is there parking?
Yes. Parking is free in the council car park located opposite The Oak Tree Inn.

Can we bring food or drink into the Grotto?
No. We would ask that you refrain from eating and drinking whilst in the grotto.

Can we take photographs or recordings in the grotto?
You may take photographs during your visit through Santa’s grotto.

Are there toilets?
There are toilets in the Oak Tree Inn and St Mocha Coffee Shop.

Is there room for wheelchairs?
Yes, there is disability access with flat surfaces throughout.

Children with special needs
We are very happy to welcome children with special needs. Please let us know the detail on this when you book so that we can be as helpful and welcoming as possible.

If I choose NOT to book a ticket in advance how can I obtain a ticket?
If you chose not to book in advance, it may be possible to purchase a ticket in-store on the day. This option is, however, restricted to the number of non-pre-book tickets available and the availability of non-pre-booked visits cannot be guaranteed.

Tickets are £7.25 per child 0-9yrs old. Each of these children will receive a gift either wrapped or in a very special Santa bag. Every child entering Santa’s Grotto must have a valid ticket and be accompanied by an adult.
